I don’t know what happened to last week – gone before it even started!
We enjoy the beauty of winter around here – both the long walks outside,
and staying indoors keeping warm.

From this weeks flickr finds:
love the athmosphere of Kaja Lunds little house set,
Kayons flower polaroids
and these ponytails.
We have been to town, shopping incense, drinking coffee and eating
pizza at Simones, wonderful Italian place.
Enjoy your weekend!

Another busy week is coming to an end. I have been working
hard writing a piece about loneliness and some art criticism.
Meanwhile, bongo has been left to his own adventures around
the house which is fine with him, but our place is a mess! One
more text to be written this weekend, then next week will be
all about bongo!
Time to share some favourites with you again;
Daniel Weisser is a german photographer I just found through flickr.
I like his portrait diptychs – this one for example. I also like this -
I don’t know why but I actually find it quite funny!
Another new find is electricimagery. Living on the westcoast of
Norway I sure can identify with this, and this is so peaceful.
To finish off – a cool portrait.
Oh, and I have to tell you about Shohaja photography,
recommended by simplyphoto. I agree – this work is amazing!
Above: One of my favourite hands …
Happy weekend everyone!

Yesterday we went for a trip to an old little town on an island on the westcoast of Norway. White wooden houses, boats, bridges, narrow streets and blue sky …
On the way out there, I took the above picture through a salty boatwindow. That is how people live out there! What does that do to a body and a mind? Wind, salt, sea, cliffs and loneliness …
I have been thinking a lot about how and where to live lately. I am used to big cities, but I grew up close to the sea. Both are so addictive … Where to live and how – I still don’t know. The house we went to see yesterday was damaged from humidity, bugs and rot.
It was a fantastic trip, though. If you want to see more, visit my flickr!

Georgia O’Keeffe said something like “I hate flowers. I paint them because they’re cheaper than models and they don’t move.” Well, I don’t agree. They do move. Slowly.
Lately, I have spent some time over at the bloesem blog, a recent designblogfind. It is written by dutch designer Irene Hoofs and sure is a good place to be. Irene writes in dutch, but the pictures and links are great, and she offers interesting weekend-reads in english.
Through bloesems weekend – read about knitting, I found Andrea Tungs blog about contemporary knitting. She also runs her own yarn company Fable and generously offers free patterns.

Above is a sneak peek at someone in progress …
Check out the wonderful dolls by Tamar Mogendorff! Found via Karin’s Style blog.
I love vintage dresses – the colours, the shapes, the patterns!
But – I do have a serious polyester problem …
To solve this, I am planning to make my own dresses from vintage patterns, and I was lucky to find the perfect sixties dress patterns at Lily of the Valley! Lily of the Valley is an adorable onlineshop run by sweet Karin, selling vintage clothes and patterns, and some homemade. How about this, this or this?
