transition

september-522.jpg

It has been a while,
as I am sort of trapped in the chaos of moving from our old apartment to our new house.

I plan to split this blog in two, one “factory part” where I will write about the things I make, and one garden part, where I will write the history of our 100 years old garden.

First, I have to get the Big Move done – please check back in in a couple of weeks!

In the meantime, enjoy:

Hästmannen, a documentary I just saw on Swedish television about a man living his old-style life on the countryside. The photography by Peter Gerdehag, such as this or this is just amazing!

I’ll be back!

wool on wool

september-517.jpg

Layers of wool – that is how we are still dressed around here.
March is deceitful as ever and keeps surprising us with a strange
mix of ice, springflowers, snow, storms and birds’ singing.

Here is what I would rather wear:
Orla Kielys spring collection. I love this slideshow!
Sally Scott. I need more socks!

Happy monday!

house, garden and blue sky

september-470.jpg
Can’t stop thinking about the house – and the garden!
I have spent some time over at You Grow Girl lately,
planning, dreaming. Gayla also has a photoblog – i like!
Cloudberryterrier added some new photos to her Adolf’s house set
- so fascinating!
My sister is in Holland and has the chance to visit all the
great places in Amsterdam
recommended by bloesem.

Happy weekend to her and everyone!

dear deer

september-514.jpg

This weekend we went out to look for a nice object for our new home,
to celebrate. It was actually quite hard to find something so nice it
would fit into the wonderful house we bought last week, but in the end
we decided on this coat hanger from Puhlmann by dutch designer
Jorine Oosterhoff.

The house is from the twenties, has an orchard, a greenery, beautiful
windows and an old barn attached to it. So excited!

… we bought a house today!

winter storm

paletten-040.jpg

We have heavy winter storms around here.
Hot drinks, layers of wool and fire keep us warm.

Some wintry flickr favourites, from cold to slightly warmer:
This looks so cold! I like the composition,
keeping the center rather empty.
A snow bed by simply photo – beautiful whites.
I also like her duet of winter whites.
Wonderful raindeer-composition by musterfrau.
Finally – Karin Eriksson has a magnolia bud in her studio.

Tomorrow we are heading south to look at a house,
which means we will have to go even further into the winter storms …

Have a good weekend!

special

september-448.jpg

Today is a very special day.
Not because it is the king of Norway’s birthday,
but because it is my sister’s birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU !

I wanted to buy you one of these cubic glassrings,
but then I came up with something else …
Have a wonderful day!

lost

kvaerner-125.jpg

I think he was able to wear it once,
then he lost it on a train.

fancy friday

september-441.jpg

I might wear this tonight – fantastic cerise vintage dress found
on a bag sale at one of my favourite vintage shops. I dare not
tell you how many unique dresses I got into that bag …
I feel like a thief … I will have to make you a dressparade soon!

I like this post on ethical fashion by hobbyprincess a lot.

Vera Wangs fall collection. I like!

bloom

september-389.jpg

I know it is a bit early for spring-dreams, but I did find snowdrops
already! And talking about spring, even if there is still a long time
of wind and ice ahead, I have to mention these cool egg birdcages,
found via decor8.
